Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to undress to your underwear — towels and blankets are always provided for your comfort and modesty. I'll explain everything before we start.
Some deeper techniques can produce a "good hurt" — a therapeutic discomfort that feels productive. I'll always work within your comfort level and ask for regular feedback throughout. You should never feel pain you don't want to push through.
It depends on your goals. Athletes in heavy training may benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions. For general maintenance and stress relief, monthly is usually plenty. I'll give you a personalised recommendation after your initial consultation.
Stay well hydrated before and after your treatment — this helps your muscles respond better and flushes out waste products afterwards. Avoid eating a heavy meal in the hour before your appointment. That's about it!
